Theory of Operation
User Calibration in CAT and NA Modes

QuickCal

The QuickCal function mathematically “extends” the preset calibration to the

end of a cable or adapter. It is a firmware only function; it does not involve

analyzer hardware.

User Calibration

A user calibration is performed with a mechanical cal kit. The N9923A User’s

Guide (Part Number N9923-90001) refers to a user calibration as a

“mechanical cal”.
