Repair and Replacement Procedures
Removing and Replacing the Front Panel Group Assemblies

To install a new RPG, reverse the above steps. A new cable, nut, and 

washer are included with the new RPG. When reinstalling the RPG 

cable, W12, bend the cable toward the right side on top of the 

display to front panel interface board cable.

5.

Reinstall the hole plugs in the front case. Apply one drop of isopropyl 

alcohol on each hole plug to lubricate it, making it easier to install. Use 

alcohol only in a well ventilated area. View the hole plugs from the front to 

ensure that they are fully seated. These hole plugs must be installed to 

maintain water-tight integrity.

6.

Reinstall the RPG knob. Refer to 

step 3.b

 of this procedure.

7.

Perform the steps under 

“Post-replacement Procedure” on page 7-27

.

Lift the LCD shield off of the A2 LCD.
