*OPC? (Operation Complete Query)
COMMAND
*OPC?
This query causes the instrument to place a response in the output queue when a
triggered action is complete. This allows synchronization between a controller and
the instrument using the
MAV
bit in the Status Byte Register. (Note that this query
does not actually “read” a state, as most queries do.)

– The parallel poll enable register is eight bits wide and has the same bit
definitions as the status byte.
– The status byte and parallel poll enable registers are anded together; the
result determines the value of
*IST
(
TRUE

FALSE

NOTE
The *OPC? query does not in any way affect the OPC bit in the Standard Event
Status Register.
