Controlling the U3045AM04

Multiport Mode

The analyzer requires Option 551 for Multiport mode. The analyzer must have 

the test set file installed to enable the analyzer to control the test set. The 

analyzer multiport mode allows you to select measurement ports, complete an 

N-Port calibration, operate control lines, and rename test ports. Refer to the

Help menu for more information.

Multiport Mode Operation

1.

The Option 551 must be installed for multiport capability. To access the

multiport application select Utility > System > Configure > Multiport

Capability.

2.

Select U3045AM04_PNAX_p4 (8-Port System) from the drop-down menu

and select Restart as a multiport PNA with this testset > OK. The analyzer

will restart the network application with the test set interface features.

If the test set is not available in the drop-down list, it will be necessary for you to 

copy the required test set file to the analyzer hard drive. The current version of the 

test set files are available on the web at
