6. Maintenance
The control unit is maintenance-free.
6.1. Setting maintenance date
The maintenance date is set using menu 2 item 2.2 (see 7.1). Follow the on-screen dialogue.
6.2. Self-diagnosis system (SDS)
The self-diagnosis system checks the described system functions automatically (interval adjustable). These set-
tings are done using menu 3.1.8 (see 7.1).
If a fault occurs, a plain text message appears on the display and the alarm LED lights up.
6.3. Troubleshooting
Display text Possible cause Remedial measure
Battery fault Battery is missing, is faulty or the
remaining voltage is too small Check battery connection, if necessary repla-
ce the battery.
Maintenance due (flas-
hing) - The maintenance date has been
reached
- No maintenance date entered - Carry out maintenance
- Enter maintenance date (see 6.1)
Minimum current 1
or 2 - Current consumption of the pump
below the minimum value
- Cable control unit - pump inter-
rupted
- Pump faulty
Check cable and replace if necessary, check
pump and replace if necessary.
Maximum current 1
or 2 Maximum current consumption of
pump exceeded, perhaps impeller
blockage Clean the pump and check the impeller for
smooth running, replace if necessary
Relay error 1
or 2 Power contactor does not switch off Disconnect the control unit from the mains,
replace the control unit.
Power outage
- Power supply has failed
- Device fuse has failed
- Mains supply cable interrupted - None, general power outage
- Check fuse
- Check mains supply cable
When switching off intentionally, shut down
control unit (see 4.4)
Level fault Incorrect assignment or cabling of
the probes (float switch, pressure
switch, level probe or airtightness of
the pressure system) Functional check, troubleshooting
Pressure loss Hose on the screw fitting to the im-
mersion pipe (or submersible pres-
sure switch) or control unit leaking. Check airtightness of the pressure sensor
system
Relay operating cycles
1 or 2 Maximum operating cycles excee-
ded Can be acknowledged. Inform Customer
Services. Fault appears after a further 1000
operating cycles
Max run time 1 or 2 Pump is running too long per pum-
ping process Check system design, if necessary inform

Customer Services
None, start screen USB flash drive without assigned
name or USB hard drive connected. Disconnect the power supply, remove the
USB medium and supply voltage to the cont-
rol unit again (see 7.4.3).
