5.12 Mount the accessory parts
The terminal block "Alarm" has been preset for connec-
tion of the audible alarm unit. If a potential-free contact is
to be used, the terminal block must be cleared for this (see
"Potential-free contact" section).
Prepare housing and cable duct (as explained in Chap. (
see
"Connecting the probe"
). Use the outside right cable duct.
Remote signal generator
Connect the remote signal generator (art. no. 20162) as
shown on the connection diagram.
Potential-free contact
A potential-free contact can be connected to the con-
trol unit as an extension kit, available as an accessory
(Art.No. 80074). It can then be used to connect the unit
to the building control system or to other accessories, for
example, the warning beacon (Art.No. 97715).
Establish the power supply.
To use the potential-free contact, press the alarm button
(2) and the manual operation button (4) at the same time
and keep them pressed for 10 seconds.
The control unit beeps briefly 2 times as confirmation that
the potential-free contact can be connected.
Press the alarm button (2) and keep itpressed for 10 sec-
onds to activate the setting.
Connect the potential-free contact as shown on the con-
nection diagram (
see "Connection diagram"
).
If the buttons are pressed for 10 further seconds, the unit
reactivates the remote signal generator and the poten-
tial-free contact alternately.
