STANDBY mode of ON/STANDBY sw itch

When the pow er cord of this system is plugged into an AC out-
let, the display lights up regardless of the ON/ OFF setting of the
ON/ STANDBY sw itch. This indicates that a small amount of cur-
rent is being supplied to the unit to back up the memory con-
tents. This mode is referred to as the Standby mode. While the
display is lit, the pow er of the system can be sw itched ON/ OFF
from the remote control unit.

The sound muting is also canceled w hen the volume is controlled.

AUTO POW ER SAVE function

When the pow er is ON and neither recording nor playback is
executed for 30 minutes or more, the pow er is sw itched off au-
tomatically by this function. This function can be made active
or not active by the follow ing operation.

The EX.BASS (Extra Bass) function compensates for the high
and low frequencies and has been set to on before the sys-
tem left the factory.
