Transport direction indicators
The

indicators indicate the current direction in w hich
the tape advances w hen playback or recording is started auto-
matically by the easy operation function, etc. This direction is
the direction stored in memory w hen the tape w as last stopped.
(To sw itch the tape transport direction, press the play key cor-
responding to the desired direction then press the stop (

) key.)
The Dolby NR system minimizes the hiss noise heard w hen
playing tape. When playing a tape prerecorded w ith Dolby
NR ON, be sure to set the DOLBY NR ON for playback.
Please play back tapes recorded w ith equalizer etc. w ithout
applying any effect.
