(1) Press the O N / O F F pushswitch © in. The Power-
on indicator © , a light-emitting diode, w i l l l i g h t , (5)
indicating t h a t power has been applied.
(2) Plug the signal calbes into the C H 1 and C H 2
I N P U T connectors ® and © .
(3) C H 2 S E L E C T O R © , w i t h the s w i t c h released ( m ) ,
takes individual mode in which ranges C H 1 and
C H 2 are changed over using R A N G E selector C H 1 /
2 ® and C H 2 ® , respectively.
W i t h the s w i t c h pressed the C H 2 S E L E C T O R (6)
takes i n t e r l o c k mode in which both ranges C H 1
U)
and C H 2 are simultaneously changed over using
R A N G E selector C H 1 / 2 ® . In the interlook mode,
R A N G E selector C H 2 © is no longer operable to (8)
select a range.
Select either individual or interlook mode according
to your p a r t i c u l a r measurement.
(4) Set the R A N G E - C H 1 / 2 selector © and the R A N G E -
C H 2 selector © to 100V. T o measure an A C
voltage superimposed on a D C voltage, be sure to
set the selectors to the positions before connecting
the cables to points to be measured. Otherwise,
the D C voltage causes a high surge, which could
burn voltmeter.
G N D M O D E © is effected w i t h the s w i t c h

in which both C H 1 and C H 2 are
connected to the grounding t e r m i n a l of the c a s i n g ,
t a k i n g G N D s t a t e , w i t h the s w i t c h pressed ( - * * - ) ,
the grounding of C H 1 and C H 2 is floated to
O P E N state in which you move the earth point
to the signal source side. N o r m a l l y use the
device in the G N D s t a t e .
Connect the cables to points to be measure.
T u r n the R A N G E selectors ® and © f o r proper
ranges until each Meter pointer swings over one
t h i r d of the f u l l s c a l e .
O U T P U T S C H 2 ® and C H 1 @ provide output
signals by a m p l i f y i n g input s i g n a l s in such a
degree a s the signal amplitude of a meter f u l l -
scale becomes 1 V r m s no m a t t e r which range is
set. Output inpedance of 60012.
