This receiver has additional

PRE OUT

jacks. These can be used for various purposes, but will need to be connected to an external power amplifier as

shown in the example below.

• Connecting a speaker cord directly to a

PRE OUT

jack will not produce any sound from the speaker.

• To use the

PRE OUT

jacks, press only the

SPEAKERS A

key to the ON position.

• This model is designed on the assumption that a pair of Surround Back Speakers is connected.

When use only one Surround Back Speaker, connect it with either speaker terminal of “

SURROUND BACK L

” or “

SURROUND BACK R

” and

increase the volume level of the test tone by 3 dB for the channel which has been connected.
