Step 7
To light the heater align the control knob with the “•” setting.
Push down fully on the control knob.
IMPORTANT:
• If the heater has been fitted with a new LPG cylinder
or has not been used for some time keep the knob
depressed for approximately 15 seconds to let air
escape (purge) from the gas hose and burner.
• If the heater has been used recently and has a cylinder
already fitted then move to step 8 with no delay.
Step 8
While still holding down the control knob fully, immediately
push the spark piezo button. You should hear a click and see
a small spark at the pilot flame (if the pilot and one burner
does not ignite, release the control knob and spark piezo
button, wait 30 seconds and repeat the procedure).
Step 9
Look at the pilot to confirm it is lit. If the pilot does not light,
release the control knob, wait 30 seconds and repeat the
procedure.
Step 10
Once the pilot is lit, continue to hold the control knob down
for a minimum of 5 seconds to allow the flame safety device
to heat up. Release the control knob completely. The pilot and
centre tile should remain alight.
Step 11
Allow the control knob to rise and then slightly depress and
rotate the knob to the desired heat setting.
For full heat – slightly depress knob, rotate to “• • •” position
- (3 tiles are lit).
For medium heat – slightly depress knob and rotate to
“• •” position - (2 tiles are lit).
For low heat – slightly depress knob and rotate to “•”
position - (1 tile is lit).
Step 12
Turning off the Heater
1. Stand to one side of the heater when turning it off.
NEVER stand directly in front of the heater when
attempting to turn off the heater. Take care that your
clothing is not in close contact with the safety guard or in
front of the heater.
2. Turn control knob to the (•) position. At this point the
outer tiles will be off and the centre tile and pilot will still
be running.
3. Reach into the back of the heater and turn the cylinder off
by turning the valve hand wheel fully clockwise.
4. Observe the centre tile and pilot to ensure they fully
extinguish.
5. Allow the heater to cool for approximately 30 minutes
before moving or placing in storage.
