IEEE-488 Bus Commands —

 Over the bus, the :CLOSe

and :OPEN commands are used to control channels. Exam-
ples:

:CLOSe (@ 4!1, 4!5)

Close channels 1 and 5 of Slot 4.

:OPEN (@ 4!1, 4!5)

Open channels 1 and 5 of Slot 4.

:OPEN ALL

Open all channels.

Scanning channels

Channels are scanned in the order that they are presented in
the Scan List. To perform a scan, first program the control-
ling aspects of the scan (see Table 4), and then press (or
click) STEP to take the Model 7002 out of the idle state
(ARM indicator on).

Regardless of how the scan is configured, the STEP key (or
LED) is always active allowing you to manually step
through the scan. The scan can be terminated at any time by
pressing (or clicking) OPEN ALL. All closed channels will
open and the Model 7002 will return to the idle state (ARM
indicator off).

IEEE-488 bus commands —

Over the bus, a scan is con-

figured using the Trigger Subsystem commands (see Table
16). The following command starts the scan by taking the
Model 7002 out of the idle state:
