Instruction manual for care bed „Ida 1.0“
Shifting care bed
Only if the care bed is equipped with castors.
1. Pull the mains plug from the socket and fix the power supply
cable and the mains plug to the bed so that the cable and the plug
are not dragging on the ground (only for electrically adjustable
care beds).
2. Unlock the brakes on the castors.
3. Ensure that any thresholds the bed has to cross over are no high-
er than 20 mm. The care bed may have to be lifted to cross an
obstacle.
‡ CAUTION!
4. Moving parts. People or animals can get crushed between the
care bed and other surfaces. Ensure no people, animals or objects
are present in the danger zone while shifting the care bed.
5. Shrift the care bed as desired.
6. Lock the brakes on the castors.
7. Check if the care bed is standing firmly.
8. Plug the mains plug into the socket (only for electrically adjusta-
ble care beds).
Close door locking mechanism
1. To open the door locking mechanism pull out the red knobs on
the brackets.
2. Slide up the door locking. Ensure that no one gets injured when
moving the door locking.
» You can now open the folding-sliding doors (see chapter “Ope-
ning/closing folding-sliding door”).
3. To close the door locking mechanism once again insert the door
locking into the brackets. The mounting plates will cover the door
bolts.
4. Press the red knobs into the brackets.
Normal use
If the patient has to lie in the care bed unattended:
1. Close the folding-sliding doors (see chapter “Opening/closing fol-
ding-sliding doors/UK-doors”) and close the door locking mecha-
nism (see chapter “Opening/closing door locking mechanism”).
2. Lower the sleeping platform to the bottom level (see chapter “Ad-
justing height of sleeping platform”).
3. Lock the control keys on the hand switch (see chapter “Unlo-
cking/locking control keys”).
