Step 4
Press the PIANO2 button three times.
The LED indicator for the PIANO2 button will
turn on.
‘1-3’ will be shown in the LED display, indicating
t h a t t h e U p p e r s e c t i o n s o u n d h a s b e e n
changed to Mellow Grand 2.
Step 5
Press and hold the SPLIT button, then press the HARPSI/MALLETS button twice.
The LED indicator for the HARPSI/MALLETS
button will start to fl ash.
‘2-3’ will be shown in the LED display, indicating
that the Lower section sound has been changed
to Vibraphone.
Step 6
Press the
T
or
S
VALUE/BALANCE buttons to adjust the volume balance between the Upper and
Lower sections.
The current volume balance between the Upper
and Lower sections will be shown in the LED
display.
The sum of the Upper and Lower sections volume balances will always total 10 (e.g. ‘1-9’, ‘5-5’, ‘9-1’, etc.), with larger
values producing greater volume.
Step 7
Press the SPLIT button to deactivate split mode.
The LED indicator for the SPLIT button will turn
off.
When SPLIT mode is activated, the Lower Octave Shift function can be used to adjust the octave range for the Lower
section. Please refer to the instructions on page 57 for more information.
The influence of the damper pedal over the Lower section can also be turned on and off. Please refer to the
instructions on page 58 for more information.
SPLIT mode settings can be stored and recalled from one of the 14 REGISTRATION memories. Please refer to the
instructions on page 35 for more information.
