START:
•
Take the charged battery from the charging unit and insert it into the
battery compartment. Pay attention to the guide groove. Assure that the
battery is looked.
•
Then insert the fine or the coarse drum (refer to point CHANGE OF THE
DRUM).
•
Now fill the foodstuff into the hopper and push slightly with the lever. To
start the grating process hold the ON/OFF button pressed. Hold the grater
a bit in a diagonal position over a plate or any other container where the
grated food stuff can be caught.
•
Please note that the power of the battery is depending on the hardness
of foodstuff to be grated and the pressure while grating. Avoid too strong
pressure because the battery would use too much energy.
CHANGE OF THE DRUM:
•
Unlock the drum while pressing the knob at the side of the drum opening.
•
Now you can remove the drum easily.
•
Hold the knob pressed while inserting the other drum. Pay attention that
the fixing part of the drum match to the housing.
•
To lock the rum just release the locking knob.
CHARGING UNIT AND RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
:
•
A special rechargeable battery is delivered with the cheese grater to
-
gether with the corresponding charging unit. This charging unit has a wall
holder.
•
Before the first usage the battery should be fully charged for about 16
hours.
•
When inserting it to the charging unit the control lamp is on. It is illuminate
as long as the battery is inserted to the charging unit.
•
To prolong the life of the rechargeable battery it is recommended to char
-
ge it only when it is completely empty.
•
The life of the battery is about 500 loadings. You can buy new recharge
-
able batteries in the retail shops.
CLEANING AND CARE
:
•
Before cleaning the appliance remove the larger residues by using a
brush.
•
Do not use any sharp or pointed objects, benzene, solvents, scrubbing
brushes or abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning.
•
Wipe off the housing with a damp cloth. Never submerge the appliance
into water or other liquids. Do not clean the device in the dishwater.
•
The drums can be cleaned with warm water and a mild dish washing
detergent or in the dishwasher.
TIP AND ADVICE
:
•
The battery is charged completely after 8 hours, after 6 hours it is char
-
ged for 60%. The best function of the appliance is reached when it is used
very often.
•
During charging the battery gets warm, this is normal.
•
It does not mean that the battery or the grater is damaged in case the ca
-
pacity seems to be less when using it very often. Let the grater be switched
on until the rechargeable battery is empty. Now recharge the battery for
about 8 hours. This process improves the recharging capacity. If necessary
repeat this process.
•
According to the hardness of the cheese or your pressure you can grate
about 250 g Parmesan cheese.
•
Cut the cheese or chocolate into suitable parts (roughly 1-2 cm). Cut off
the crust from the cheese.
•
The cheese grater is also perfect to grate nuts and similar kind of food
stuffs.
