Design
Placement
The Kardia unit can be placed on concrete or wooden floors.
Ensure that there is enough room for routing of ventilation ducts,
electrical cables, vacuum cleaner and drinking water pipes. Ducts
for fresh air and exhaust should be led to exterior walls without
crossing over the Kardia unit.
The Kardia unit should be placed with at least 5mm clearance to
any walls on both sides and behind the Kardia unit.
Ensure ample space in front of the unit for servicing,
at least 750mm.
The unit must be placed inside the house’s vapor barrier.
Design of ventilation system
The ventilation system must be designed by a qualified engineer
in accordance with local building codes.
Kardia has a calculation instrument for calculating required fan
speeds given house properties and airflow requirements. For

Design of vacuum system
Vacuum outlets should be placed so that the vacuum hose
reaches all areas of the house. The hose length is 9 meters. For
