No naked flames, glowing
embers or sparks in the vicinity of
batteries

Do not place any objects or tools
on the battery because voltage is
always present between the
battery poles

Areas in which batteries are
charged must be well ventilated,
as highly explosive gas forms
during charging
Danger of acid burns!

Rinse out or rinse off splashes of
acid in the eye or on the skin with
copious quantities of clean water
!
Then consult a doctor
immediately
!
Wash contaminated clothing with
water
—
Old batteries with this symbol are
reusable commodities and must
therefore be returned for
recycling
—
Old batteries which are not
returned for recycling must be
disposed of as special waste,
thereby observing all statutory
regulations
Note:
The folowing points are to be
observed if lead-acid storage
batteries are to be used for the unit:

Lead-acid storage batteries must
be contained in a battery bath
(accessory).
—
The maximum battery
dimensions must be observed.
—
The unit cover must remain open
during charging of lead-acid
storage batteries.
—
The battery manufacturer’s
instructionsj must be complied
with when charging wet batteries.

The battery charger may only be
used if it is already mounted in a
status conforming to
specifications.
—
The battery charger may be
operated only with the following
mains fuse protection: Safety
fuse of at least

The battery charger may only be
used for charging perfect-
condition lead drive batteries.

The battery charger may be used
only for maintenance-free
batteries of a rated voltage of

Risk of fire and explosion!
If the wrong types of batteries are
connected to the battery charger
they can excessively gas, gas out or
explode.
Danger!
Dampness damages the battery
charger and can cause
electrocution.

The unit is to be protected from
electrically conducting dusts (for
example, soot, metal filings, ..).
—
It is not permitted to use the
battery charger outdoors, on
traffic routes or in potentially
explosive locations.
—
Keep children away from the
battery and the battery charger.
—
It is forbidden to modify the
battery charger in any way.
—
Repairs of the battery charger
may be performed only by a
qualified specialist.
