TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Possible cause Solution
The Air Fryer Lid
does not work. The appliance is not
plugged in. Put the plug in a wall socket.
You have not set
the timer. Adjust the setting to the required
preparation time to switch on the
appliance.
The lid’s handle is
not properly locked.
Push the lid’s handle back in position
properly.
My food is
undercooked. There is too much
food in the
container. Put smaller batches of ingredients in the
container/pot. Smaller batches are fried
more evenly.
The set temperature
is too low. Adjust the setting to the required
temperature setting (see section
‘Settings’) .
The cooking time is
too short. Adjust the setting to the required
preparation time (see section ‘Settings’) .
Fried snacks are
not crispy. The snacks you are
cooking are meant
to be prepared in a
traditional deep
fryer.
Cook snacks that are meant to be
prepared in the oven. Lightly brush some
oil onto food for crispier results.
White smoke
comes out of
the appliance. You are preparing
greasy ingredients. When you fry greasy ingredients, a large
amount of oil can leak into the chosen
container. The oil produces white smoke,
and the container may heat up more
than usual. This does not affect the
appliance or the end result.
The pan still
contains grease
residue from
previous use.
White smoke is caused by grease
heating up in the container; make sure
you clean the container thoroughly after
each use.
Fresh fries are
fried unevenly.
You did not use the
right type of potato. Use fresh potatoes and make sure they
stay firm during frying.
You did not rinse
the potato sticks
properly before you
fried them.
Rinse the potato sticks thoroughly to
remove starch from the outside of the
sticks.
