Maintenance manual DRF 400–450

7 Load handling – 7.4.7 Main beam attachment

8 Place the glide plate in the correct position.

Check the clearance between spreader beam and glide plate.
Clearance should be max.

1 mm

with all glide plates mounted.

Fit/remove spacer plates until the distance is correct.

NOTE

Excessive clearance may result in damage to the spreader
beam when load handling.

9 Fit the glide plate's bracket.

10 Fit the glide plate's guide pin.

11 Repeat steps 3–10 on the other glide plates.

12 Start the machine and check the spreading function. Try lifting

a container and check that the spreader beams do not have too
much clearance.
