The CBR-KB3 remains in the
Standing by ...
state.
If the user picks the ID used by the CBR-KB3 itself, the display
shows:

to Myself!
If the chosen unit number is connected to the network, but is
being controlled by a different CBR-KB3, the display shows:
That unit is
already in use!
If the chosen unit number is that of another CBR-KB3, the
display shows:
Cannot connect
to a keyboard!
Automatic Network Polling
After power up, the keyboard starts polling the network to establish which units, if any, are connected
to the network. The top line of the display shows:
Polling Units
. The bottom line of the display
indicates which of the 32 network ID numbers are being polled.
If the keyboard detects a controllable unit (multiplexer) on the network, it tries to connect to the first
available unit (lowest network ID), and goes to the
Connected ...
state.
NOTE:
The keyboard does not detect Multiplexers that are not powered on. The
network address (network ID) of each network device, such as a multiplexer or
a keyboard, is set in that device. Refer to the corresponding device manual to
set up its network address.
