FK Range - Coffee dispensers

- 5 -

For a can: Defrost the can fully and give it a shake to stir up the coffee solids.

Open the ring pull and insert the suction tube into the can.

For a BIB: Defrost the BIB fully and give it a shake to stir up the coffee solids.

Firmly attach the suction tube connector to the BIB.

Prime the system with concentrate by pressing and holding the ‘

Prime

’ button on the

inside of the front door panel until coffee is seen to drip from the outlet nozzle.
Briefly press the ‘

Flush

’ button to wash out the nozzle.

If powder hoppers are fitted to the dispenser (FK12) fill these to the top with
appropriate drinks powders (commonly chocolate and milk).

The dispenser is supplied with a selection of pre-programmed drinks and is ready to
use.

Refilling Coffee Concentrate

When the coffee concentrate runs out, the message, ‘Coffee empty’ will be shown on
the display, and further coffee based drinks will no longer be dispensed. Refilling the
concentrate by replacing the empty can/BIB with a full one and pressing the

‘Prime’

button on the inside of the door until coffee drips from the nozzle, will reset this
display message and re-enable the coffee based drinks.
Chocolate etc. will continue to be dispensed if there is product available. In the case
of an FK20 when set to 1 product and two cans or BIBs are being used, the
cans/BIBs will both be used before ‘Coffee empty’ is displayed.

Refilling Powder products

When the powder products become low (approximately 1/3 full) then the display will
show either ‘Chocolate low’ or ‘Milk low’, refill with powder to the top of the hopper
and then press the ‘Up arrow’ to reset the milk counter and the ‘Down arrow’ to reset
the chocolate counter. The dispenser will continue to operate, but the drinks quality
will be affected if the hoppers are left to empty completely.

Cleaning the dispenser

Semi-automatic cleaning cycle

The dispenser has a semi-automatic cleaning cycle which will cause the front panel
lights to blink at a preset time, and the message ‘Run clean cycle’ to be shown in the
display. When the lights blink, the dispenser will continue to dispense drinks, but the
lamps will blink until the cleaning function has been completed. (Attention: do not
interrupt the cleaning cycle).

To perform the cleaning function, do the following:-

1.  Fill the cleaning bottle supplied with the dispenser or a container of 750ml

minimum capacity with hot water from the machine. (For FK20 fill two bottles).

2.  Open the dispenser door and press the ‘FLUSH’ button inside.
3.  Remove the can/s of coffee or the BIBs from the cooler, clean the suction

tubes with a cloth and replace the can/s by the bottle/s with hot water,
ensuring each suction tube is in a bottle. If BIBs are used remove them from
the cooler and screw the cleaning adapter provided with the dispenser on the
BIB connector. Ensure that each suction tube is in a bottle.

4.  Place a receptacle of 2 ltr minimum capacity under the coffee outlet nozzle

then press the

  (enter) button.

5.  The dispenser will then perform the cleaning functions.
