Using the dispenser
Quick start
Remove the dispenser from the carton and place on a stable worktop capable of
supporting a minimum of 50kg/m. (80kg/m for A-FK)
Connect the dispenser to a source of potable water at a pressure between 0.5bar
minimum to 10bar maximum. Use a local water authority approved non-return valve
between the hose and the water supply connection point to comply with local and
federal codes. Turn on the water supply and check there are no leaks.
Connect the machine to a source of electrical power in either of the following ways;
•
For 230v single phase up to 16A, use the power cord supplied with the
machine.
•
Qualified technicians only: - For 3 phase power, remove the 2 screws in the
small panel containing the power switch at the rear of the dispenser. Draw out
the power supply unit and remove the cover. Pass a suitably rated (minimum
16A per conductor) 5 core power cable (3ph + N + E) through the cable gland
and secure the cable by way of the clamp in the gland. Connect the
conductors to the screw terminals on the PCB in the following way: -
1. Brown wire (first phase) to terminal L1,
2. Second live phase to L2,
3. Third live phase to L3,
4. Blue wire (Neutral) to terminal N
5. Green and yellow wire (Earth) to the terminal marked with the ground
symbol.
Make sure all connections are secure and refit the cover. Refit the power
supply unit into the chassis and replace the screws.
Connect to the building power supply using a suitable 5 pin IEC Plug rated at 16A
minimum per pin.
Switch on the machine by operating the red switch on the rear of the dispenser, it will
illuminate when power is present. You should then observe the following:
1. The display and lighting on the front panel will illuminate.
2. The display will show a name (e.g. Kaffee Konzepte or AROMAT) on the top
line and the word ‘Filling’ on the lower line. The machine will perform a ‘self
check diagnostic’ for a couple of seconds then the water inlet valve will open
and the boiler will begin to fill.
3. When the boiler is full, the water inlet valve will shut off and the display lower
line will change to ‘Heating’. When the boiler reaches 65°C the display will
change to show the time and boiler temperature on the lower line. The boiler
will continue to heat until it reaches the preset maximum temperature. (The
temperature and the time are adjustable in ‘Engineer mode’).
Place a can or BIB of coffee concentrate into the cooler unit of the machine in either
of the following ways;
