Turn the TV on

playback
Playback
Playback is the most basic operation possible with your VCR. Audio-visual
information recorded on a cassette will be played back on your TV screen
just like a broadcast programme.
Load a Video Cassette
Make sure that the window side of the cassette is facing up and the spine label is
facing away from the VCR. Insert the cassette as shown in the diagram below;
don’t use too much force. If the VCR was turned off before you inserted the
cassette, the power will come on automatically.
The counter on the TV screen will reset to read
‘
0:00:00
’. If the record safety tab on the video
cassette has been removed, playback begins
automatically.
Play
If the cassette that you inserted does not start playing automatically, press the
.
button on the VCR or the Remote Control. ‘bESt’ appears blinking in the display
panel during automatic tracking (
墌
pg. 28).
Stop & Eject

Press the

button on the VCR or the
S
button on the Remote
Control once to stop playback.
eject
Press the
§
button on the VCR a second time or press on the
Remote Control to eject the cassette from the VCR. The cassette will take about 6
seconds to appear once the
§
button has been pressed.
NOTE:
You can also eject the cassette while the VCR is turned off.
