Remove the filter cartridge extension from the Welcome
Pack.
T
Fit the filter extension on top of a CLEARYL Blue filter car-
tridge.
T
Remove and empty the water tank.
T
Open the filter holder and insert the filter cartridge into the
water tank, exerting slight pressure.
T
Close the filter holder. It will click into place audibly.
T
Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water and reinsert the
tank.

Press the Rotary Switch.
‘Filter is being rinsed.’ , the filter is rinsed. Rinsing of the filter
stops automatically. ‘Empty drip tray.’ appears on the dis-
play.

Empty the drip tray and coffee grounds container and put
them back into the machine.
‘Filter’ / ‘Filter rinsing complete.’
The machine heats up. ‘Please select product:’ appears on
the display. Your GIGA is once more ready for use.

After 2000 oz (60 liters) of water have flowed through or after
three months, the filter will cease to work. Your GIGA will auto-
matically prompt you to change the filter.

If the CLEARYL Blue filter cartridge is not activated in program-
ming mode, you will not be prompted to change the filter.
Example: Proceed as follows to change the filter when prompted to
do so.
Precondition: ‘Change the filter’ and the

symbol are displayed.

Press the P button.
‘Maintenance status (1/5)’

Press the ‘Change the filter’ button.
T
Press the ‘Start’ button.
T
Press the ‘Start’ button again.
‘Change filter.’ / ‘Press the Rotary Switch.’

Remove and empty the water tank.
T
Open the filter holder and remove the old CLEARYL Blue fil-
ter cartridge and filter extension.
T
Fit the filter extension on top of a new filter cartridge.
