Removing a TXP-CB

CAUTION:

To remove a TXP-CB (see Figure 122 on page 358):

1.

If the master Routing engine is installed in the TXP-CB to be replaced, switch it to the
backup. See “Understanding the Effect of Switching to a TX Matrix Plus or T1600
Backup Routing Engine” on page 325.

2.

Take the host subsystem offline. See “Understanding the Effect of Taking the Host
Subsystem Offline” on page 324 and “Taking the Host Subsystem Offline” on page 354.

NOTE:

If there is only one host subsystem, taking the host subsystem

offline shuts down the TX Matrix Plus router.

3.

Place an electrostatic bag or antistatic mat on a flat, stable surface.

4.

Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect
the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis. .

5.

Label and disconnect the cables.

6.

Remove the Routing Engine from the TXP-CB.

7.

Release the latches on the ejector handles on both sides of the TXP-CB faceplate.

8.

Flip the ejector handles outward to unseat the TXP-CB.
