6.1 Manual time synchronisation
Press the T1 button for longer than 3 seconds to initiate manual time
synchronisation. Both hands start to rotate and position themselves
in the 12 o’clock position. The reception phase begins as soon as the
display is extinguished in the LC display. Hold the watch steady during
reception, or set it down on a still surface.
If synchronisation is not possible with the signal transmitter, all other
transmitters are checked for possible reception of the time signals. As
soon as a time signal is received, the hands are set automatically to the
local time of the signal transmitter and the date is displayed in the LC
display. The transmitter being received can be displayed by pressing
the T1 button.
Please note: Should you find yourself within a reception range which
deviates from the signal transmitter being received, it will be necessary
to set the correct local time following successful synchronisation using
the time zone setting (refer to section 6.2).
The time zones displayed when picking up the signal from the respec-
tive transmitters are as follows:
Transmitter

] DCF77 (Europe)
CET or CEST

] JJY40 (Japan)

You can abort the manual time synchronisation prematurely as soon
as both hands are in the 12:00 position. To do this, press button T1 or T2
briefly. Minute and second hands revert to the original time.
Please note that manual synchronisation is not possible when the [

symbol is indicated in the LC display.
