STARTING AND STOPPING
NB:
• Always use protective gloves, long trousers, long-sleeved sweater, shoes and protective glasses
when using the hedge cutter.
• Always hold the hedge cutter with both hands.
Check before starting
• Check the blades and guard are not damaged or cracked.
• Replace the blades and/or guard if they are damaged or cracked.
• Check that there are no other people in the working area. Risk of serious personal injury! The
safety distance is 15 metres.
Cold engine
1.
Move the power switch to the start position.
2.
Set the choke control to the position .
3.
Press the fuel pump six times.
4.
Pull the start cord until the engine starts.
5.
Set the choke to the position .
6.
Let the engine run for 3-5 minutes and then press the throttle trigger in fully until the engine
runs smoothly.
Hot engine
1.
Move the power switch to the start position.
2.
Set the choke control to the position .
3.
Pull the start cord until the engine starts but never more than five times.
4.
Push the throttle trigger in fully until the engine runs smoothly.
Stopping
Release the throttle trigger and then turn the power switch to the stop position.
CUTTING
WARNING!
• Sharp parts are set in motion when the hedge cutter is operated. If body parts come into contact
with moving parts, this can result in serious personal injury. Keep hands and fingers away from
moving parts.
• Fumes contain lethal carbon monoxide. Always use a face mask and ensure the fumes are led
away from you.
