• Always hold the hedge cutter with both hands.
• Always attach the transport guard when transporting or storing the hedge
cutter.
• Quickly turn the hedge cutter off using the power switch in an emergency.
• Always be aware of your surroundings and stay alert for possible hazards of
which you may not be aware due to the noise of the hedge cutter.
• Never use any other accessories than those which have been recommended.
Faulty accessories can lead to serious injury for the user or bystanders, as well
as damage to the hedge cutter.
• Never start or run the engine indoors. The fumes contain lethal carbon
monoxide.
• Never adjust the engine while the hedge cutter is on and the user is holding it.
Place the hedge cutter on a flat, open surface if you want to adjust the engine.
• Do not use the hedge cutter if it is damaged or incorrectly adjusted. Never
remove the hedge cutter’s guard. This can lead to serious injury for the user or
bystanders, as well as damage to the hedge cutter.
• Never leave the hedge cutter unattended.
• Do not use the hedge cutter for anything other than the intended usage as
described in these operating instructions.
• Ensure that there are no naked flames near the hedge cutter. Spare parts can
be ordered from the retailer. Using other accessories or attachments can lead
to hazards, injury to theuser or damage to the machine and will also not be
covered by the guarantee.
• Clean the whole machine, in particular the fuel tank, all around it and the air
filter.
• Make the user aware if you approach while the hedge cutter is in use and make
sure the user has switched the hedge cutter off. Be careful not to startle or
distract the user.
• Turn the engine off when moving the hedge cutter between working areas.
• Do not touch the silencer, cables or spark plug when the engine is started or
running.
• The silencer will remain hot after the engine has stopped. Never store the
hedge cutter in areas where there is flammable material (dry grass, etc.),
explosive gases or liquids.
• Be particularly careful when using the machine in the rain or just after it has
rained, as the ground can be slippery.
