SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the User Instructions carefully before use.
Save these instructions for future reference�
• The product complies with the requirements in EN61243-3�
• The product can be used outdoors� Temperature range: -10 to 55°C� Should not be used over
2000 m above sea level�
• The product is only intended for brief contact with the measurement object� Do not keep the
product in contact with the measurement object for more than 30 seconds, especially in the case
of high voltage�
• Practice by testing conductors that you know are supplied with voltage, to learn how the product
works�
• Do not use the product if the product or measuring wires are damaged, or if you suspect that the
product is not working properly�
• Keep your fingers behind the finger guard when measuring�
• Keep the product dry and clean� Do not touch the product with wet hands�
• Do not tamper with the internal components in the product�
• Be very careful with voltages higher than 30 VAC rms, 42 V peak, or 60 VDC rms – risk of electric
shock�
• Never touch exposed wires� Make sure that your body is not earthed when using the product�
• Always check before using the product that it is working properly by measuring a known voltage�
• CAT� III: Measurement category III for measuring mains supply in buildings and permanently
installed equipment�
• Do not use the product for measurements in accordance with measurement category IV�
WARNING!
Prolonged contact with the measurement object can result in personal injury and/or
material damage� Do not allow the measuring tips to remain in contact with the measurement object
for more than 30 seconds�
