MAINTENANCE
The intake filters and the cartridge must be regularly maintained in order for the thermostatic mixer to
function correctly.
Maintaining the intake filters
Turn off the water. Dismantle the mixer. Remove the filters from the nuts and clean them with a brush and
detergent. Refit the filters and the mixer.
Maintaining the cartridge
If there is a screw on the underside of the mixer, do not remove the knob, but instead remove the screw
under the mixer to dismantle the filter. Soak the filter in a mixture of water and vinegar over night. Do not
use chemicals or strong acids. Lubricate the joints with heat-resistant grease. Fit the cartridge in the
reverse order. The cartridge does not need to be adjusted.
If there is a screw on the underside of the mixer,
remove the cartridge (5) by removing the plug (1)
and unscrewing the turn screw (2). Soak the filter
in a mixture of water and vinegar over night. Do
not use chemicals or strong acids. Lubricate the
joints with heat-resistant grease. Fit the cartridge
in the reverse order.
The cartridge must be adjusted. See the section
on adjusting the thermostatic cartridge.
Cleaning
Clean with soap, water and a soft cloth.
Troubleshooting
If the thermostatic mixer does not regulate the temperature correctly, turn on the water and turn the
temperature knob to hot and cold several times, until the temperature becomes constant.
If the thermostatic mixer does not supply hot or cold water, check that the water pipes and filters are
clean. Check that the pressures for the hot and cold water pipes are balanced.
If the thermostatic mixer does not supply a temperature of 38°C: check that the installation has been
performed correctly and that the operating conditions are as specified. If the installation and operating
conditions are correct, the cartridge must be adjusted. See the section on adjusting the thermostatic
cartridge.
If it is difficult to turn the temperature knob: allow the water to run and turn the temperature knob back
and forth several times until it moves more easily.
