8-3. Adjusting the height of the presser bar

1) To change the heght of the presser bar or the

nclnaton of the presser foot, loosen the presser

bar connecton screw

and perform the adjust-

ment properly.

2) After the adjustment, securely tghten the screw.

8-4. Adjusting the micro-lifting mechanism of the presser foot

Some type of materal needs to be sewn wth the
presser foot slghtly lfted. In ths case, perform ths
adjustment followng the procedure descrbed below.
1) Loosen the setscrew

2) Turn the presser foot mcro-lftng screw

wse through the hole n the face plate untl the
presser foot s rased as desred. Then, tghten
the screw

If you do not use the micro-lifting mech-
anism of the presser foot, fully return
the presser foot micro-lifting screw

its home position.
the standard of lifting amount of the
presser foot is as thick as a sheet of pa-
per.

following work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.
