2.5 Attaching or Detaching the Tape Feeder onto a Mounter
1) Check to see if there is no foreign substance such as an element on the fixed side
of the tape feeder or upper surface of the mounter bank.

2) Pinch the grip section with one hand and lay another hand on the tail guide to
support it.
3) Place the fixed side of the tape feeder on the feeder bank.
4) Pull the release lever toward your side. (See Figure 2.5.2.)
5) Slide the tape feeder in the fixing direction, and push the X-axis reference pin “A”
against the positioning hole on the fixing plate of the bank, the fixing pin against the
U-groove of the fixing plate B, and the lock holder and the plunger plate against the
lock shaft V-groove. (See Figure 2.5.1.)
6) Push the release lever to fix the tape feeder. Check to see if the feeder is
securely fixed on the mounter with following the procedure described below.

7) To detach the tape feeder, pull the release lever toward your side, and grasp the
grip section in the detaching direction to detach the tape feeder.

CAUTION

bottom side of the feeder and the top surface of the bank.
