3.5 Function description
The JUDO fault indicator is supplied with constant voltage and switched on via the side toggle switch; the
green power LED illuminates. If the control unit is activated at input IN1/IN2 by the corresponding
microswitch of the respective water softening system during system regeneration, the programmed time for
regeneration monitoring starts, the yellow RUN LED illuminates.
After correctly completed system regeneration, the activation at input IN1/IN2 is cleared, the yellow RUN
LED goes out.
If system regeneration is not completed inside the programmed time, the yellow alarm active LED
illuminates. The fault indicator can be switched via the potential-free changeover contact e.g. to a building
control system.
The fault indication can be acknowledged by brief switching off and on via the side
toggle switch!
If the activation is cleared at input IN1/IN2 or in the event of a power failure, the
regeneration monitoring time is reset!
4 Installation
4.1 Requirements for the place of installation

The JUDO fault indicator must be installed in a dry, frost-proof location with a condensation-free and
non-aggressive atmosphere.

Ensure there is enough space available for maintenance and repair work and also for ready
accessibility.

An electrical connection (constant voltage, site provided socket) must be provided in the immediate
vicinity of the JUDO fault indicator.
4.2 Installation notes
Attention
The device-specific operating data must be adhered to!

Install the JUDO fault indicator horizontally on a level wall surface so that is free from any
mechanical stresses.

Route electrical connecting cables so that they are protected against external influences and tensile
forces and then connect correctly.

Observe the separate installation and operating instructions of the corresponding water softening
system.

Observe technical information, local installation regulations and general guidelines (e.g. EVU, VDE,
WVU, DIN, DVGW, ÖVGW, SVGW).
