4.1.2 Receiving Calls
When receiving calls, the voice of the caller can be heard through the speaker.
OPERATION
Press OPE .
MASTER appears for OPE in the CH16 Status
Display.
TIP
• When no remote controller is connected,
pressing
OPE
is not necessary because
MASTER automatically appears for OPE.
• A controller which does not have priority can be
used only when no other controller is in use [OPE:
OFF], by just pressing the
OPE
key. When using
the controller which has priority, pick up the
handset or press
OPE
to make a call.
• When receiving on a channel other than CH16,
enter the channel number using the number
keys.
Turn VOL to adjust the speaker
volume.
When not currently receiving a call, turn
SQL
counter-clockwise to generate noise for volume
adjustment.
Turn
SQL
to control the squelch
threshold.
Turn the
SQL
control counter-clockwise until
noise is generated, then turn it clockwise until the
noise stops.
Finally, turn it slightly further to set the squelch
threshold.
TIP
Remember that turning
SQL
counter-clockwise
enables the reception of weak signals, and that,
on the other hand, turning
SQL
clockwise
disables the reception of weak signals.

officer in charge immediately.
There is the possibility of legal repercussions if such a procedure is not
followed.
