The following safety information must be observed for the operation, ser-
vicing, assembly and repair of the landing gear. The safety information for 
the tractor vehicle and the trailer vehicle are also applicable.
The various sections also contain the safety information relevant for the 
work described therein.

1.1

Safety information for operation

 

The landing gear may only be operated by authorised personnel.

 

The landing gear may only be operated if the trailer has been secu-
red to prevent its rolling away.

 

When releasing the crank, remember that it may recoil.

 

The low or high gear must always be engaged.

 

When the trailer vehicle is in motion, always place the crank in the 
crank mounting.

 

The crank must always be installed.

 

When the trailer vehicle is in motion, the landing gear must be fully 
retracted.

 

When extending the landing gear, ensure that the ground is suf-
ficiently firm or place suitable plates or the like beneath the landing 
gear feet.

 

When extending the landing gear the landing gear feet must move 
freely or the wheels turn easily.

 

The function area of the foot must be clear and flat.

 

Do not use landing gear to compensate for height differences or the 
like.

 

Do not exceed the bottom and top lifting limit of the landing gear.

 

Do not use the trailer if the landing gear is damaged, if necessary 
mend the landing gear or remove it.

 

There must be nobody under the trailer when coupling and uncou-
pling it.

 

There must be nobody under the supported trailer.

Safety information for servicing

 

Only use the prescribed lubricants for servicing work.

 

The servicing work must be completed by trained personnel.

1.3

Safety information for installation

 

The landing gear is to be mounted on the trailer as set out in the in-
stallation instructions.

 

If they are installed incorrectly, all warranty claims against the manu-
facturer and supplier of the landing gear will be rendered void.

this warning triangle. These danger notes must be observed 
in all circumstances.
