PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
While standard electric hobs work by tran-
sferring their own heat, in the induction
hob heat is created in the base of the pots.
The hob does not heat up, it becomes
hot when food is heated on it
in a pan, the heat from the pan is reflected
on the hobs (reverse heating).
This is caused by an energy field that
generates heat only in magnetically con-
ductive materials, for example, cookware
made of steel (not stainless) or cast iron.
In other materials, such as porcelain, glass
or ceramic, the energy field cannot gene-
rate any heating effect.
CHOICE OF THE SUITABLE POT
The pots and pans must have
the bottom in steel (not stainless) or cast
iron, and you can check it by the markings
on the pot
or testing if a magnet clings to the base
of the pan. Cookware made of any type of
non-magnetic metal, such as aluminum,
copper and stainless steel, as well as ves-
sels made of porcelain, glass, ceramic,
plastic, etc. They are NOT suitable.
If unsuitable pans are placed on the A / B
hobs, the error indication “EO” will appear
on the relative “H / R” display.
Pans with a thin bottom are more suitable
for induction cooking than those with a
thick bottom.
Use only pots with a diameter suitable for
size of the A / B hobs.
To ensure a good result, the diameter of
the pot must not be less than 12 cm or
more than 26 cm.
