Wiring the UPS
To wire the UPS, complete the following steps:
1.
Provide a supply voltage to the UPS unit from a qualified source and ensure that the breaker supplying power
is in the off position. Refer to the wire diagram located on the inside of the panel cover.
Note:
Ensure that the UPS power cord is plugged into the outlet inside the enclosure. One of the outlets is a
spare. Ensure that the breaker switch inside the panel is in the off position.
2.
Wire the supply line voltage to the breaker (hot) and to the terminal block TB-1 (ground and neutral).
3.
Wire the field load to TB-2 (hot, neutral, ground) as indicated on the terminal block.
Note:
Ensure that the TB-2 wire plug is installed to the surge/battery side outlet of the UPS.
4.
While wearing the proper protective apparel, switch the supply breaker to the on position.
5.
Switch the breaker switch inside the panel to the on position.
6.
Press the power button on the UPS for approximately two seconds and release it after a short beep. A green
light signifies that power is on.
Risk of Property Damage.
Do not run low-voltage cable in the same conduit or wiring troughs with high-voltage wires. Running low- and
high-voltage wires in the same conduit or wiring troughs may damage the equipment or cause system
malfunction.
