Lubricating the Attachments

After each use, lubricate all moving parts of
the attachment with one drop of Synthes
Special Oil (519.97) (Figures 1a and 1b).

Spread the oil by moving the components.

Wipe off excess oil with a cloth.

Insert one drop of Synthes Special Oil
(519.97) in the gap between the seal ring
and shaft of the attachment coupling
(Figure 2a and 2b). Connect the attachment
to the Battery Reamer/Drill II and let it run
while the attachment tip is facing downward.

Notes
• To ensure a long service life and

reduce repairs, the handpieces,
attachments, and battery casings
must be lubricated after each use.

– Exception: The Radiolucent

Drive (511.30) does not
require lubrication.

• Only lubricate the handpieces,

battery casings, and attachments
when clean.

• The power tools and attachments

may only be lubricated with Synthes
Special Oil (519.97). No oil from
other manufacturer may be used.
Lubricants with other compositions
may cause jamming, have a toxic
effect, or have a negative impact
on the sterilization results.
