6. TROUBLESHOOTING

longer operate safely.This endangers you and your environment.
Malfunctions are often caused by minor faults. You can easily remedy most of
these yourself.Please consult the following table before contacting the vendor.
You will save yourself a lot of trouble and possibly money too.
Error/Fault Cause Remedy
Soldering iron does
not heat up. 1. No power supply.
2. Mains cable or plug
damaged. 1. Check that the mains
supply (socket)functions
correctly.Ask a competent
per-son for advice if
necessary.
2. Have the mains cable
replaced by the
manufacturer or the
manufacturer's
representative.
The solder does not
run smoothly on the
soldering iron. 1. The working
temperature is too low.
2. The soldering tip is
loose. 1. Adjust the settings of the
working temperature
2. Switch off the soldering
station, allow it to cool down
and tighten the soldering tip.
