5. MAINTENANCE, CLEANING, STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
WARNING!
Risk of injury! Disconnect the soldering station from the mains and
allow it to cool down before carrying out any maintenance or adjustments.
Maintenance
The soldering station requires very little maintenance,however soot can form on
the tips after some time.Remove with fine sandpaper to ensure accurate and
controlled work. Use only original accessories and spare parts available from the
manufacturer or an authorised service agent. Repairs may only be carried out by
an authorised service centre or competent person.
The tip is a wearing part and must be replaced from time to time.
Cleaning
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the unit!Never immerse the soldering station inwater
or other liquids.
-Clean the soldering station using a soft, damp cloth.Do not use aggressive
cleaning agents,solvents or petroleum spirit.
Storage
We recommend using the original packaging for storage or covering the
soldering station with a suitable cloth or enclosure to protect it against
dust.Always store the soldering station in a place that is inaccessible to
children.The ideal storage temperature is between 10°C and 30°C.
Transport
- Protect the soldering station against knocks and vibrations during transport.
