-Always perform a test on a piece of excess mate-rial before soldering.
-Clean the parts you wish to join before starting to solder.
- Move the solder with suitable flux agent towards the outer edge of the soldering
tip to melt the solder.The soldering joint will be covered with flux agent enabling
the solder and the workpiece to join.
- During continuous soldering work, clean the soldering tip with the soldering
sponge and re-tin the tip regularly.
Desoldering
To clean soldering joints by desoldering, you can use a desoldering braid or a
desoldering pump (not supplied).
Desoldering braid:
- Place the desoldering braid over the excess solder and heat it with the
soldering tip .The molten solder flows on to the desoldering braid.
Desoldering pump:
- Heat the excess solder with the soldering tip. Once the solder is molten,
activate the desoldering pump so it removes the solder by a vacuum.
Interrupting and finishing work
The soldering iron must be stored in the soldering iron holder during breaks in
your work.
-After finishing work, move the ON/OFF switch into the [ 0 ] position and place
the soldering iron in the holder to cool down completely.
- Disconnect the mains plug from the mains during long breaks.
● The soldering station must cool down completely before storage.
Standby mode
The soldering iron will go into standby mode after 30minutes of inactivity. In this
mode, the display shows [ 200
o
C ] and flashes.
- Press any button to finish the standby mode.
