Maintenance 

and safety

When performing any maintenance the following should 
be adhered to:

No maintenance should ever be carried out whilst the 
machine is operating.
The machine should be unplugged.
The instructions contained in the manual should be 
strictly adhered to.
Use original spare parts.

In order to check the tension of the belt or to change it, 
proceed as follows:

Changing the belt 

See figure 12

4.1

Switch off the machine via the main on-off switch and 
unplug it.

Loosen the two screws (T) which hold the brush guard 
and wheel in place.

Access the lower part of the machine.

Loosen the four nuts (P) so that the motor is unlocked. 
Turn the screw (M) so that the wheel is loosened and 
can thus be changed.

Change the belt.

Once the belt has been changed, turn the screw again 
(M) in the opposite direction in order to tighten the 
belt.  Then, tighten the four nuts (P) in order to lock 
the motor.

Changing the milling cutter

4.2

The milling cutter is changed as follows:

Switch off the machine via the main on-off switch and 
unplug it.

Remove the two screws (J) from the cutter guard and 
raise the guard.

When changing the milling cutter: insert the rod in the 
hole of shaft (A) and release the nut (K) – left hand 
thread- in a clockwise direction, using a spanner.

In order to position the new milling cutter, perform the 
above steps in reverse.

Changing the brush

Change the brush as follows:

Switch of the machine via the main on-off switch and 

unplug it.

Loosen the two screws (T), wheel guard and side brush.

When changing the brush

Insert rod 7X70 in the hole in the shaft (A) and loosen 

the screw (K), using an Allen key.

In order to position the new brush, perform the above 

steps in reverse.

Safety recommendations

Do not attempt to start up or operate the machine 
until all the safety aspects, installation instructions, 
operators guide and maintenance procedures have 
been followed and understood.

Always disconnect the electricity supply before perfor-
ming any cleaning or maintenance.

Always keep the machine and its surrounding area 
clean.

Always work with dry hands.

Protective glasses must be worn, even if the machine is 
equipped with a protector.

Make sure that the machine is earthed.
