Your aerous VX series Headset has been designed with a
cable that can be replaced in the field.
“In the field” makes it
sound like you’re in the midst of a war zone; feel free to yell things
like, “mEdIC!” or, “sEt uP a PErImEtEr!” while you’re doing this.
to replace the cable, unplug the old cord from the earphones
and the microphone boom. the red and blue dots face up on
the earphone connectors—red indicating right ear, blue meaning
left. the microphone can only fit in the one direction, so no
worries there; just be careful not to damage the receptacle in
the mic boom housing.
Your aerous VX series Headset comes with an adjustable mic
gain, located behind the small hole on the volume control
case.
using a small flathead screwdriver, you can increase
the mic gain by turning clockwise and decrease it by turning
counterclockwise. try to make bad little puns to yourself as you’re
doing it. “How did mike gain so much weight? all he eats is fish!”
