The non-contact adapters (NCA) are ideal for high volume testing as they negate the risk of
contamination or damage during mating. No connector end-face inspection is required. The NCA
should be used between the output/receive cables and the DUT.

When testing DUTs with more than 12 fibers, fanouts are required for the output and receive
cables. For an example, see Figure 10.
