RADIO OPERATION
Antenna
• The device is equipped with a telescopic antenna (21) for FM and short-wave
(SW) reception. Pull the telescopic antenna out and turn it into the direction in
which you receive the best reception.
• A ferrite antenna has been built into this device for MW (medium-wave) and
long-wave (LW) reception. Set up the device so that the station can be received
in the best possible sound quality.
Switching radio on and off
• Make sure that the keylock is switched off.
• Press the
ON
button (8) to switch on the radio. The frequency range and set
station frequency are shown on the display (6).
• Press the
ON
button again to switch the radio off. The time will then be shown
on the display.

Note for mains operation:
The
ON
button does not separate the device from
the mains supply. Pull the AC adapter from the power outlet to separate the
device from the power supply.
Select frequency range
• Press the
BAND/WAKE
button (16), to select from four frequency ranges:
FM
;
MW
(medium-wave);
SW
(short wave) and
LW
(long-wave).
Manual search
• Stations can be searched manually by pressing the
MIN-
(13) or
HOUR+
(12)
button several times.
• Each press of the button decreases or increases the device frequency by
0.05MHz for FM, 0.005MHz for SW and 1KHz for LW.
• For MW, depending on the setting of the
9K 10K
switch (22) it is set back to
9KHz or 10 KHz. As a rule, the 10 KHz setting is used only in USA.
