BASIC FUNCTIONS
Mains operation
• Connect the power cord (21) with the
AC~
connection (20) on the back of the radio.
• Make sure that your power supply corresponds to the information on the label of the radio. Connect the
power plug to a suitable power outlet.
• Pull the power plug out of the power outlet to completely cut off the power supply.
Turning the device on and off
• Turn the radio on using the
ON/OFF
button (6) on the top of the device.
• After you are finished using it, turn the radio off using the
ON/OFF
button again.
• The
ON/OFF
button does not cut off the power supply completely. To do this, pull the power plug out of the
power outlet.
Volume
• Set the desired volume by adjusting the volume control (12) on the radio.
• To decrease the volume, turn the volume control counterclockwise.
• To increase the volume, turn the volume control clockwise.

Warning:
Extremely loud volumes results in high sound pressure, which can cause irreparable hearing
impairments.
Keylock
• Slide the
LOCK
switch (13) upwards to the
ON
position in order to lock
all buttons except for the
LIGHT
button (4). A key symbol
will be
shown in the display (11) (fig. 2).
• Slide the
LOCK
switch to the
OFF
position to unlock the keys. The key
symbol disappears.

Illuminating the display
• Press the
LIGHT
button (4) to turn on the blue display illumination. The display (11) will be illuminated for
approx. 7 seconds.
Connecting the headphones
• This radio is equipped with a 3.5 mm headphone jack (14) to which you can connect most commercially
available head- or earphones (not included).
• When the head- or earphones are connected to the headphone jack, then the integrated speakers are
automatically deactivated.
• As soon as you disconnect the head- or earphones from the jack, the speakers are activated again.
• A loudspeaker symbol
will be shown in the display (11) when headphones are connected to the
radio. When you disconnect the headphones from the jack, the symbol disappears.
