5.1 Measurement in air
Switch on the device. Wait until the 5 minutes heating period
is over.
Place the medium selection curser on the “cloud”. The measurement is
made immediately.
5.2 Measurement in water
Switch on the device.
Place the medium selection curser on the “droplet”.
To save time during operations in a liquid medium, it is recommended
the oximeter is started with the probe in the medium. The probe
stabilizing time of from 5 to 8 minutes is thus included in the heating
time.
If after several TPs without a new calibration, you observe manifestly
erroneous values, a fresh calibration in air is needed (see 4.2).
Important Remark:
If you simply want to demonstrate variations, without any particular
requirement for precise values, systematic calibration is not necessary.
6 Interruption
In order to preserve the lifespan of the sampler head, the device switches off
automatically after 45 minutes. You can however start again this 45 minutes
cycle by a short pressure on the button on/off (5) of the device. The imminent
end of the cycle is announced by a twinkling OFF.
The device may also be switched off at any time in maintaining inserted the
button on/off (5) until the extinction of the displayer.
7 Changing the sampler head
The sampler head can be used for 200 hours in the air with 21% dioxigen or
in the water. This operational life could be less than 10 hours if the sampler
is used in pure dioxigen. For any doubt about the usury of the sampler head,
it is sufficient to adjust it as shown in paragraph 4. When the instrument
indicates 20,9 %, the sampler head is operational, if the screen displays HS,
please change the sampler head.
