Home
The home directory is in the pool or not.
RAID set slot
The physical disk slots of the RAID set.
Spare slot
The spare physical disk slot.
Read cache slot
The SSD drives that are used as read cache (L2ARC).
Write cache slot
The SSD drives that are used as write cache (ZIL).
Functions in the right click menu:
Create:
Create
a pool.
Expand:
Add more RAID sets to the same pool to expand the capacity.
Set home directory:
Assign home directory to the pool. (
This option is only visible when
home directory is not assigned.
)
Add disks -> Read cache:
Assign SSD drives as SSD read cache to the pool.
Add disks -> Write cache:
Assign SSD drives as SSD write cache to the pool.
Add disks -> Dedicated spare:
Assign drives as dedicated spare to the pool.
Free disks:
Set the SSD cache disk or dedicated spare disk as free disks.
Set disk properties:
Set properties (standby, readahead, command queuing, write cache).
Scrub:
Perform pool scrubbing manually to make sure there is no defect in the hard drive.
Delete:
Delete the pool. The pool can be deleted when there is no file system or volume in it.
How to use “
Create
”?
1.
Click the
Create
by clicking mouse right button.
2.
Enter a
Name
for the pool.
3.
Use the drop-down list to select a
RAID level
.
4.
Select disks from both local or expansion JBOD systems, and click
>>
to complete the
selection. The selected disks are displayed at the
Selected
box. When it’s done, click
Next
button.
