Special 4 – cycle
For welding longer seams. The torch trigger can be released during welding. The sequence of
cycles is defined by the welder. You can switch between the pre-set values of energy E1, E2,
E3 by briefly tapping the torch trigger.

st
cycle Press and hold the torch trigger
Sequence
1. Shield gas flows for the pre-set time
(5) - (a)
2. Arc ignites with the pre-set creep-in speed
(5)/(6) - (b)
3. Welding with start energy as long as the torch trigger is pressed
(5) - (c)
2

cycle Release torch trigger
Sequence
1. Up-slope runs for the pre-set time
(5) - (d)
2. Welding with energy E1
(5) - (e)
3. Briefly press the torch trigger:
Change to weld energy E2 (if enabled)
(5) - (f)
4. Briefly press the torch trigger:
Change to weld energy E3 (if enabled)
(5) - (g)
5. This action can be repeated as desired
3
rd
cycle Press and hold the torch trigger
Sequence
1. Down-slope runs for the pre-set time
(5)/(6) - (h)
2. Welding with end crater energy as long as the torch trigger is
pressed
(5) - (i)
4
th
cycle Release torch trigger
Sequence
1. Wire Stopps within the pre-set burn-back time
(5)/(6) - (k)
2. Arc is extinguished
3. Post gas flows for the pre-set time
(5) - (m)
If at 2nd cycle – sequence 1. and at 3rd cycle – sequence 1./2. a time = 0 seconds
is set, these steps are skipped.
If at 2nd cycle – sequence 3. and 4. an energy value = 0 m/min is set, these energy
values cannot be selected by tapping the torch trigger.
