RADIO OPERATION

Listening to the radio

1.  Press the POWER button (#8) to turn on the JCR-238.

2.  Tap the BACKWARD BUTTON (#3) or the FORWARD BUTTON 

 

(#4) to adjust frequency. 

3.  Press and hold the BACKWARD button (#3) or the FORWARD 

 

button (#4) to automatically tune to the next available FM 

 station. 

4.  Tap the VOL UP button (#7) or the VOL DOWN button (#6) to 

 

obtain the desired volume level.

5.  Press the POWER button to switch the radio off.

Notes:

•  Use manual tuning to select weaker stations that might be 

 

skipped during automatic tuning.

•  If the automatic tuning does not stop on the exact frequency of 

 

the station, for example, it stops on 88.9MHz instead of 88.8 

 

MHz, use the manual tuning method to “fine tune” to the exact 

 

frequency of the desired station.

•  To insure maximum FM tuner reception, unwrap and fully extend 

 

the EXTERNAL FM WIRE ANTENNA (#20) for best FM radio 

 reception

To set / recall the radio presets

1.  Press the POWER  BUTTON (#8) to turn on the JCR-238. 

2.  Tap the BACKWARD BUTTON (#3) or FORWARD BUTTON 

 

(#4) to select the desired station. 

3.  Press and hold the MEM/M+ BUTTON (#5) until “P01” (or the 

 

next available preset slot shows on the DISPLAY (#11). 

4.  Press the BACKWARD/FORWARD BUTTONS (#3/#4) to select 

 

a preset number (P01-P10).

5.  Press the SET BUTTON (#5)) again to confirm the preset. 

6.  Repeat steps 2 through 5 to preset up to 10 stations. 

7.  To recall one of the preset stations already programmed, tap 

 

the MEM/M+ BUTTON (#5) repeatedly until you reach the 

 

desired preset number/radio station.
